These standards describe how Groupus: Communities & Chat prevents, detects, and responds to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). They apply to everything on the Service: communities, posts, comments, group discussions, and direct messages.
To report child sexual abuse material or the exploitation of a minor on Groupus, use the Report option on any post, comment, message, or profile in the app, or email groupme03@gmail.com. Reports of this kind are treated as urgent. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Groupus has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. We prohibit any content, conduct, or communication that sexualises a minor, depicts a minor in a sexually explicit manner, solicits or grooms a minor, or facilitates the trafficking or sexual extortion of a minor. This applies whether the material is photographic, drawn, animated, computer-generated, or written, and whether it is shared publicly in a community or privately in a direct message.
This prohibition is absolute. It is not subject to context, intent, community rules, or the consent of anyone involved.
Groupus is for adults. Our Terms and Conditions require every account holder to be 18 or older, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to create an account or use the Service.
If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we remove it. If you believe a minor is using Groupus, tell us using the reporting options above and we will act on it.
Reporting is built into the app, so nobody has to leave Groupus or find an email address to raise a concern:
Every report reaches a human reviewer. We do not require a reporter to identify themselves to us beyond the account they are signed in with, and we do not tell the reported user who reported them.
When a report concerns the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor, we prioritise it above all other reports. Our response is to:
We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement investigating the exploitation of a child.
We comply with child safety laws in the jurisdictions where Groupus is available, including reporting and record-preservation obligations relating to child sexual abuse material. Where the law of a particular country imposes stricter duties than these standards, we follow that law.
These standards are aligned with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and with our Terms and Conditions, which prohibit unlawful and exploitative content on the Service.
